Feria Dance Festival, Seville, Spain

The major dance festival in Seville, Spain is called the Feria de Abril (April Fair), also known as the “Feria” or “Seville Fair.” It is Seville’s most famous festival, celebrated each spring—usually two weeks after Easter—and features traditional Andalusian music, food, folk dancing and fabulous flamenco dresses.

During this week-long festival, which begins with a spectacular lighting ceremony, the city comes alive with parades, horse-drawn carriages, crowds in traditional attire, and lively dancing in tents known as “casetas.” The event draws visitors from across Spain and beyond.

What makes this a great group experience?

Anyone who loves tradition, culture, history, music, tapas, sherry, women wearing flamenco dresses with ruffled skirts, shawls, and colorful flowers– and oh yes, nonstop flamenco dancing – will love Feria. A thousand decorated tents, an amusement park with rides, horse shows, parties until the wee hours, and more mean there’s something for everyone.
